Their garden was a wonder to behold, bursting with fresh Italian ingredients. They grew everything they could throughout Calgary's short growing season, and in the warmer months, we would feast on the most delicious, fresh produce. In the winter, they preserved, canned, and cured the rest to sustain us through the long, cold months...."
